The Mifflinburg Football Booster Club is an organization which exists thanks to the Mifflinburg Area School District, the voluntary efforts of parents, and the generosity of supportive members of the community.
The mission of the Football Boosters Club is to provide additional support to the Mifflinburg Wildcat Football program, its athletes and coaches.
Not only are we there to cheer on the team, but we are very active behind the scenes:
This all costs a tremendous amount of money for a team of our size and requires countless hours of work by volunteer parents and the coaches. We have a limited amount of fundraisers to generate the funds needed due to the amount of time and limited personnel to plan and work these events. With your support these events can be very successful.
So, please get involved and show your support! Its for the good of all the team members, including your son. Attend the Boosters Meetings, held every 3rd Tues. of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the High School in the Health class room. Join a committee and if we have enough participation no one will have to work excessive hours. REMEMBER, it helps your son and the team. With your support we can replace some of the out-dated practice equipment and hydration equipment.
As parents we need to strongly support and promote a positive attitude in the team. Success starts at home. Its not necessarily winning every battle its promoting the work ethic and attitude so that you CAN win every battle! It takes all kinds of different personalities and skill levels to make a team with all members being a part of it.
Vince Lombardi said and I quote, "Football is like life … it requires Perseverance, Self-Denial, Hard Work, Sacrifice, Dedication, and Respect for Authority."
We all need to sacrifice time and effort to give the team the best chance for success. But most of all, by promoting a positive attitude, we can give everyone's son the best chance to be successful and have a positive experience in their High School football career.
We are looking forward to another successful year with more parental involvement and community spirit for our WILDCATS!
Sincerely,
Steve Wagner, President
